Bill Bryson Prize for Science Communication 2011 // October 11th, 2011 // Constituency News

The Royal Society of Chemistry Bill Bryson Prize for Science Communication is an engaging and popular competition, designed to encourage and recognise clear science communication in schools and colleges.

The joint Secondary Winner for 2011 is Evelyn Henderson who attends King Edward VI High School for Girls, Edgbaston. 

The awards ceremony took place today in the State Rooms, Speaker’s House with the kind permission of Mr Speaker, Rt Hon John Bercow MP.

Gisela said:

“I am so proud that a student from one of our local schools has won this award.  Science is such an essential subject in education.  I urge all schools to view the criteria for the 2012 Bill Bryson Prize and consider entering.  In the meantime, congratulations to Evelyn.”
