Birmingham St Mary’s Hospice is asking local people to help it provide desperately needed care by remembering loved ones lost this Christmas.
The charity’s Light Up a Life appeal offers people the chance to dedicate a light on a tree in memory of someone special who is no longer with us.

The Regional Macmillan Mobile Cancer Information & Support Service (MMCISS) will be visiting Birmingham on Tuesday 25th & Wednesday 26th October 2011 in Victoria Square from 10am to 3pm on both days.
The service aims to provide information and support to anyone affected by cancer, without the need for an appointment.

Planning for the 2011 Birmingham Beer Festival is underway.
The festival is open all day between the 27-29th October and will be held at the Second City Suite, 100 Sherlock Street.
