New Children’s Centre for Quinton // March 28th, 2008 // Uncategorized

Quinton’s young families can look forward to more help and support with the opening of a new Sure Start Children’s Centre.
The Centre, based on the Four Dwellings School campus, will bring together local children and family services, including childcare, early years education, health services and family support workers. Similar centres are already operating successfully in Bartley Green and on the Welsh House Farm estate.
Local MP Gisela Stuart was given a guided tour of the new facility by centre staff during a recent visit to the school campus. Gisela said:
“This new Centre will be an asset to our community, providing vital support to local families at one, easily accessible location. I am proud of the fact that it is our Labour Government that has consistently invested in families by providing these centres in neighbourhoods across the constituency, delivering the services they need and getting our children off to the best start in life”.
Gisela was accompanied on her visit by Quinton’s Labour campaigner Caroline Badley. Caroline said:
“It is so important that we help families at the time they need help most - when their children are young. The convenience of having top quality childcare on their doorstep will make lives easier for many families in the local area.”
