South Birmingham bus network review // June 25th, 2009 // Constituency News
Gisela is urging local residents to have their say as public transport authority Centro carries out a review of the bus service network in south Birmingham.
The review covers the area working clockwise from the Yardley Wood Road routes to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital. Services that operate within the Edgbaston Constituency that are affected by the proposals are the 21, 44 (which it is proposed be withdrawn and replaced by alternative services), 45, 47, 61, 63, 69, 84, 636.
The 69 & 84 do not at present operate into Edgbaston, but under the proposals would run to the Q.E.Hospital.
Gisela says:
“This is an important review and it is vital that local bus users are listened to. I’m pleased that Centro are asking for comments on the suggestions and also any other ideas for changes to local services.
If you have any comments, they should be sent to Centro, Centro House,16 Summer Lane, Birmingham, B19 3SD. You can also email your comments to customerrelations@centro.org.uk. If you want further information on the proposals, please phone Centro on 0121 214 7214.”
